MediaPOINTE’s VIDi2d decoder is used in conjunction with the VIDi2 encoder blade for video over IP transport. The VIDi products stream DVD quality video over your LAN or WAN. The VIDi2d connects to any display, TV, plasma or LCD and decodes a live stream from any of the VIDi2 encoder blades on the network. Corporations, education and government institutions can create their own broadcast network with the VIDi products.

The incorporation of low bit rate codecs such as H.264 allows the use of HD content without the associated bandwidth issues.
